About the location

We live on Spike Island, with Bristol's beautiful floating harbour on one side of our home and the Avon New Cut on the other.

Steeped in maritime history, this is the best of Bristol - named by Rough Guides 2017 as one of the world's top 10 cities.

You are minutes away from shops, restaurants, museums, theatres, concert halls, historic buildings, boat trips, and the best parts of town. The city centre is 10 minutes walk and Clifton village just 5 minutes drive. Yet this part of the floating harbour is very quiet, both during the day and at night - apart from when the heritage railway steam train chugs past at weekends!

Bristol Temple Meads train station is 20 minutes walk, with the Georgian city of Bath just a further 10 minutes on frequent trains heading direct to London.
