Lovely Family Home, walking distance to City Centre - Edinburgh

Our Victorian home has been completely renovated over the past few years to a high standard. Our spacious, luxury kitchen is the highlight of the basement, with direct access onto our small landscaped garden area. At ground level, a warm and inviting family living room with TV, DVD, Wii U, and music system. Four bedrooms - master with kingsize bed; childrens' room bunk beds; bedroom 3 with double bed, and bedroom 4 with double bed. Additionally, there is an excellent room downstairs which we use as a playroom, ideal for younger children.

If you are bringing children, we have an abundance of indoor and outdoor games you can use, we also have bikes, highchair, cot... Let us know if there is anything else we can source for you!

There is a small landscaped garden with barbecue and al fresco dining area. We are less than 5 minutes' walk from The Meadows and Brunstfield Links - an extensive open space to enjoy walking, tennis, pitch and putt, and 3 childrens playgrounds.

We have a hamster who would need fed each day. Or we can ask a neighbour if hamsters are not your thing!

We are particularly interested in swaps at Easter, the beginning of July, and during October half-term week.

We are happy to consider car-swapping, too. We have a 2014 Ford S-Max (7 seater).

About the location

Our area is Marchmont/Bruntsfield, a thriving area renowned for its small boutique shops, cafes, and beautiful parks. It is very much part of the city, but has a lovely village feel. (Nearest small shop for milk and provisions just 2 minutes walk.)

Great public transport system in and around Edinburgh. On-street parking outside the house, priced at £2.40 per hour.

Our house is a 20-30 min walk to Edinburgh's Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park.

A 10 minute lovely walk across the Meadows brings you to the newly renovated Museum of Scotland which is free for visitors, and fantastic for rainy (or sunny!) days with little people. A little further and there are several other museums and galleries.

Edinburgh has city beaches within 20 min car ride from our house or lovely beaches along the East Lothian coast - Dirleton, Gullane, and North Berwick are around 30/40 mins in the car. East Lothian has several famous golf courses and within Edinburgh there are several excellent courses.

If you wish to venture further afield, Glasgow is one hour away, and The Highlands are just over 1.5hrs drive north.

We would be delighted to recommend our favourite places to eat, visit, and can especially recommend things to do for families. We can also put you in touch with a couple of local babysitters we use.

Our house is a approx 25 mins from the airport.
