Rural Breton house 20 minutes from coast

This is our holiday home in Brittany, France. It is on the edge of the village of Tonquédec, 20 minute drive from the coast and some great beaches.

The house comprises:
- two bedrooms (one double bed and two singles),
- a kitchen (with fridge, electric cooker, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, washing machine, etc.),
- an open plan living/dining room (with sofa, easy chairs, dining table, wood burner, TV and DVD player, CD player with blue tooth)
- a bathroom (with bath/shower combination and sink), and
- a WC.

The house has a garden to the front and back with table and chairs, reclining chairs, parasols and barbeque.

The village has a shop, two bars, church, post office and ruined chateau.

About the location

This is a popular area for walkers due to the forested Léguer valley with its Grande Randonnée (GR34a).
Cyclists are well catered for with the quiet rural roads. The village has a welcoming and friendly cycling club who meet twice a week.
A long stretch of coast is within a 30 minute drive, with the closest points being 20 minutes. Great local beaches include Saint-Michel-en-Greve, Beg Léguer, Trébeurden and Perros-Guirec.
Other popular coastal spots include Locquémeau, Tregastel and Locquirec.
The Léguer river is popular with fly fishermen.
