Lovely 4 Bed home swap in Oxford, England
If you are looking for a fantastic location in a great part of Oxford within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, colleges, the canal and spectacular walks on your doorstep then you will love this house.
Our house is a charming, cosy, Victorian, three storey terrace house built in 1906. The house forms part of a terrace lined street in West Oxford, 8 mins walk to Oxford railway station and 15 mins to the centre of this historic city. On the ground floor is an open plan lounge with a wood burning stove leading to a middle room which is used as a play room/music room with a piano, a Victorian double desk and toys. Beyond these two rooms is an extended and well equipped kitchen with soft lighting, a large dining table which seats 8, coffee machine and Kitchen Aid. The kitchen leads out to a thoughtfully designed garden with lawn, pretty cottage garden borders, patio with garden seating and a play tower for children. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom is roomy, the second bedroom has bunk beds and the third currently has an unused toddler bed. On the 3rd floor is a double room with en-suite, built in desk and a Juliette balcony overlooking the terrace gardens. A soft colour scheme has been used throughout the house.
There are walking and cycling routes to the city along the banks of the River Thames from our house but direct bus routes too. A beautiful, expansive park with a playground is situated at the end of the road. We have three great local pubs, the nearest being 5 mins away on Osney Island (The Punter), The Perch reached either by walking along the river into Port Meadow, a beautiful open space, or by bike or car. The third pub (The Fishes) is across the fields at the end of the road into the village of North Hinksey.
