Lovely 3 Bed home in Mussidan, France

Our house was built in the 1960s for a doctor and his family, plus his practice. It is in traditional Perigordine style with large high-ceilinged rooms. It is centred in a large plot with easy parking, lawns, a productive potager, and a salt swimming pool 10 by 5 metres. Quite a lot of the decor is still in original condition with some striking French wallpapers! The kitchen and bathrooms are completely refurbished with modern fittings.

We are in a small Dordogne market town and all everyday facilities are just a short walk, including restaurants, bars, banks, La Poste, chemists, boulangeries, cinema that shows films in English most weeks, swimming pool complex, canoeing, and a nice museum of everyday life and work. Supermarkets are a 5 minute drive. There is plenty of scope for walking, cycling, sightseeing and we are near to forests and inland lake/beach resorts. The market takes place each Saturday morning and there are local vides grenier (car boot sales) every Sunday. Bergerac airport is about 30 minutes away, Bordeaux and Brive about an hour.
