Spacious loft-style apartment in 19th Century schoolhouse in Brooklyn, New York

Our spacious loft-style apartment is in the vibrant and picturesque neighborhood of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

The apartment is quite unique and is located on the second floor of a 19th century school building, featuring 14 foot ceilings and retaining many original details, including wainscotting and a beautiful dark wood ceiling in the living area. The apartment has a very large living area, large bedroom with a queen sized bed, two recently renovated bathrooms, a recently renovated kitchen, and two loft spaces above the bedroom and living room. Although the apartment is technically a one-bedroom, we also have a small internal room that we use as a bedroom for our 4-year old son, and there is a very comfortable single fold-out couch in the loft area above our living room.

Cobble Hill is an historic district in Brooklyn, consisting principally of low-rise brownstones on tree-lined streets. The area is now very trendy, with many great restaurants and cafes, and everything you need for a comfortable stay within walking distance (including gourmet grocers, clothing stores, movie theaters, Italian meat markets, and mom-and-pop shops). We are a 10 minute walk to Brooklyn Bridge Park, which extends from the Brooklyn Bridge along the Brooklyn waterfront. Our neighborhood is also great for small children, with lots of parks and activities.

We are only 2-3 subway stops from Lower Manhattan, depending on which line you take there is one subway line 5 minutes from our apartment, and a host of other options a further 5 minutes away.
