Our apartment is in the Wondakiah estate, right on Sydney Harbour. It provides a quiet and relaxing lifestyle while being just 300 metres from the train station and two stops from the centre of Sydney. The apartment has been recently renovated, with light timber floorboards, contemporary fittings and quality appliances. Wall-to-ceiling glass doors from the open-plan living and dining area lead to an extensive wraparound balcony, with views over the historic buildings and across the estate parkland to the bushland reserve. There are two bedrooms (one set up with a fold-out sofa bed), both opening onto the balcony. The master has an ensuite with dual vanities. There is ducted air conditioning, ceiling fans and gas heating. The laundry is fitted with a washing machine and dryer. High-speed wifi. Secure undercover parking for two cars.

About the location

Once the site of the North Sydney gasworks, Wondakiah has been transformed into a parklike 6.8-hectare residential estate on Sydney Harbour. The complex is nestled between two of Sydney`s bushland reserves, with extensive walking tracks, indigenous sites, industrial remains and stunning views over the harbour. The train station and local shops are just 300 metres away, with rapid access to the CBD. Waverton is a small village-style suburb with several cafes, a supermarket, butcher, liquor store, pharmacy and excellent pizzeria. Iconic harbour and surfing beaches are within 15-30 minutes’ drive.
