Lovely 3 Bed home in Bath (Bradford on Avon), England

Our property was built circa 1690 and is a Grade 2 Listed townhouse which sits in an elevated position above the beautiful market town of Bradford on Avon (population 8,000).The property was formerly two cottages which have been converted into one and is situated in a very quiet lane which has the advantage of no traffic. It has wonderful views over the town and across to the White Horse Monument at Westbury 10 miles away. The UNESCO world Heritage Roman city of Bath is 9 miles away and can be reached by a half hourly train service which takes 15 minutes by rail or road. You can also cycle on one of our bikes along the Kennet &Avon canal into Bath and it is a nice flat route with plenty to see along the route. It will take about an hour. The much larger city of Bristol is 30 minutes by train, and central London can be reached in approximately 2 hours by train. Stonehenge is a 50 minute drive, and Glastonbury 1 hour's drive away.

Bradford on Avon is a very pretty market town with lots to see and do. It has beautiful walks along the canal and river towards the wearside hamlet of Avoncliff and onwards to the popular pub at the village of Freshford. In the town there is a 25 metre swimming pool, library, public tennis courts, railway station, river, and canal.

There is a good selection of global cuisine with Italian, Indian, and Thai restaurants and 10 pubs. The local church have bell ringing practice every Monday night and during summer a steam train passes through the station a few times a week (times published at the station and online)Note: Bradford on Avon is fairly hilly in places, and the house is half way up a fairly significant hill, but only 3 minutes walk from the town main street.
