Large town house, with wood-burners and children's toys

Our house is a large Victorian town house arranged over 4 floors.

We have 4 bedrooms: one with a super-king size bed, one with a double, one with a single and an attic room with a double futon bed and spare mattresses that can go on the floor too. Our sitting room is sunny and light and has a woodburner and TV and the kitchen is cosy with an Aga plus alternative cooking facilities. Opening out from the kitchen is a family room with a woodburning stove and a door onto a lovely south-east facing sunny patio and grassy private garden with a trampoline at the bottom. There is also a balcony from the attic with amazing city views. We can email further photos if you like.

We have young children and you are welcome to use their books, train set, trampoline and so on. We don't have pets but may be willing to consider hosting some. We only moved in last year and are gradually improving the house; we will try to keep photos up to date.

About the location

Our house is in a bohemian area of inner-city Bristol with many amenities in the immediate neighbourhood (organic supermarket, farm shop, italian deli, two bakeries, Thali cafe and several coffee shop/restauraunts are all within 5 minutes walk). The neighbours are friendly and the road is relatively quiet. You are in easy reach of the Gloucester Road, famous for its independent shops - like high streets used to be.

We are within 5 minutes of the M32 and just over 5 minutes from the local railway station, with connections into Bristol Temple Meads. We are perfectly accessible by public transport; we don't have a car ourselves. You can walk in to all the bustle of Cabot Circus in 15 minutes, or you can easily reach all the facilities of central Bristol - whether you are interested in Colston Hall, the Hippodrome, the aquarium or Clifton village.
