Lovely family home in London

Historic Warner House. Beautiful family home in the friendly and creative area of Walthamstow, London

The house is fully furnished and has three bedrooms (the fourth bedroom will be used to store our personal belongings so out of use), a bathroom, a kitchen, living room, dining room, downstairs toilet, large front and back gardens with a lawn at the back which is perfect for the summer. We have a five year old and a one year old so the house is fully equipped with baby/toddler gear (if you need it) and is very child friendly. We're also keen on cooking so there is lots of cooking equipment and a large range cooker. There is also a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge, freezer and separate wine fridge.

The house is in a great location in the St James Street area of Walthamstow. It's a 5 minute walk to Blackhorse Road station which is on the Victoria Underground Line so very easy access to Central London (20 mins to Oxford Circus). We're also 5 minutes from two London Overground stations (15 mins from St James St to Liverpool street; 15 mins to Hampstead Heath).

There are two lovely local parks five minutes walk away and a slightly longer walk gets you to Walthamstow Wetlands (Europes largest Urban Wetlands), Walthamstow marshes, and Lloyd Park with the wonderful William Morris Gallery. Walthamstow High Street and market for grocery shopping (including two supermarkets) is a five minute walk away and there are also nice cafes within walking distance. Slightly further afield but also walkable is the charming Walthamstow village with lots of boutique shops and cafes.

Part of the architecturally and historically significant 'Warner Estate' our house is on a quiet residential street with friendly neighbours. A perfect base to enjoy the peace and charm of Walthamstow whilst being in easy access to all the attractions of central London.

About the location

We live on a lovely street characterised by the beautiful Warner Estate architecture of the late 19th Century. Our neighbours are very friendly, there is a family feel to the community and the road is quiet. There are many schools in the area, a Park around the corner and great fish and chips at the end of the road.

Waltham Forest has just been recognised as London's first ever 'Borough of Culture' which is testament to a rich cultural past (William Morris's house, Alfred Hitchcock's childhood cinema and Grayson Perry's art studio to name a few) and a vibrant, exciting future.
