Ours is an attractive Victorian terraced house in a friendly central area of bustling Ipswich, county town of Suffolk. There are three bedrooms,(one currently in use as a studio, and one as an office), and two bathrooms. The sitting room/ dining room is light, and contains two single sofa beds. French windows open onto the little suntrap patio garden. There is a pretty wood-burning stove for chilly nights, but also full gas fired central heating. The kitchen is fully equipped for serious cooking.

About the location

We are part of a grid of Victorian houses built in Suffolk grey brick, very close to beautiful Christchurch Park with its Mansion/gallery. The Wolsey Theatre and 2 cinemas are a short stroll away, as are the main shopping streets of central Ipswich. There is a wonderfully cosmopolitan array of local shops, many great pubs, and several excellent restaurants within easy reach on foot. Ipswich marina on the river Orwell (more good eateries) and the mainline railway station are 15 minutes walk away, (London in one and a quarter hours) and trains to Norwich, Cambridge and gorgeous Woodbridge too. It is a short drive (or bus ride) to Aldeburgh, Snape, Orford, and Constable country. The nearest coast is at Felixstowe, and Southwold is just up the road.
