Lovely 4 Bed home in London, England

We live in a 4 bedroom Victorian terraced house in Stoke Newington, a popular `London village’ within the city and with easy transport to the centre of London.

We have 2 double bedrooms ( 1 with ensuite shower room) and 2 children’s bedrooms (with further fold out single mattresses and plenty of toys stored) and a large bathroom. Downstairs is a double reception room (which can be separated by wooden doors) leading into a large kitchen / diner with corner sofa and folding doors which access a decked garden with garden furniture and mood lighting. There is a downstairs bathroom / utility with washer & dryer.

Stoke Newington is in the borough of Hackney, one of the 2012 Olympic boroughs and a dynamic and culturally diverse area.

Our road is on a residential street 2 minutes from Church St, the heart of Stoke Newington with its own distinct `London village’ character. Church Street is full of independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants (several award winning) and every Saturday hosts an organic farmer’s market. At one end is Clissold Park a large park with two ornamental lakes, playground, paddling pool, tennis courts, menagerie and aviary and Clissold Mansion which has a café overlooking the deer enclosure. In the middle of Church Street you can enter Abney Cemetery an old Victorian cemetery and nature reserve which is well worth an explore with its winding paths through ivy clad statues.
Above the park is the West Reservoir Centre with 2 reservoirs, an old pumping tower with a café, sailing, canoeing and the Castle Climbing centre. Below the park is Clissold leisure centre with swimming pools, gym and a variety of sports available. Nearby is an ice skating rink and horse riding centre (10 minutes by car or a short bus ride).

The nearest tube is the overland at Dalston junction (10 minute walk – Zone 2) and the buses are minutes from the house going to central London (Kings cross (Eurostar) Oxford st, St Pauls etc all within 30 mins) so it is quick and easy to access the tourist sites, theatres and shopping in central London eg Tate Modern, Thames, London Eye, Tower of London, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Covent garden, the West End, Camden, Brick Lane etc etc!
