Peaceful, idyllic village, close to Bath
Formerly the Stables to the Manor House in the quintessential English Village of Wellow, our home is a haven of peace and quiet with a large garden overlooking fields and the c13th village church. It is in excellent condition - we have replaced bathrooms, kitchen etc since moving there in 2005. There is an electric car charging point in the garage. There are two cats we ask you to look after - plus three chickens who will need occasional feeding. The house is not suitable for small children.
About the location
Wellow has a local pub, walks, trekkiing centre, sports/tennis facilities and village shop, and is an idyllic retreat - yet is only 15 minutes from the Georgian/Roman city of Bath with the Roman Baths, Georgian Assembly Rooms, Royal Crescent and many restaurants. Further afield, you can easily visit prehistoric Stonehenge or Avebury or numerous National Trust properties in a day, and London is just ninety minutes by train.
