Ours is a recently built & newly furnished four bedroom house in a small development on a former farm yard. The living accommodation is open plan & on the first floor (no disabled access – sorry) to take advantage of the extensive views of the Highlands to the North and the Ochil hills to the South. There is a comfortable sitting room with log burner, TV & stereo. The kitchen is well equipped and has an adjacent dining area. Also on the first floor is a double bedroom and shower room. On the ground floor there two further double bedrooms and a twin bedroom with two bathrooms, one en suite as well as a utility room with washing machine & dryer.

About the location

Perthshire is the most centrally located county in Scotland and although glorious in itself, also provides an ideal base from which to explore the rest of Scotland with Edinburgh & Glasgow & Dundee each an hour away (by train or road). The Highlands are a half hour drive to the north and historic Perth is twenty minutes away. For golfers, there is Gleneagles 15 minutes away and St Andrews an hour. There is scenic walking and cycling within the immediate area and the Trossachs and Breadbane hills are within easy reach. There are many managed fisheries in Lochs and reservoirs and the famous fishing rivers (Tay & Earn) are nearly on the doorstep. There is a host of historic castles & buildings to visit and the immediate area was front line of the earliest Roman occupation in Scotland with its archaeological remains still clearly visible. Other activities available nearby include kayaking, off road driving and quad-biking. There are two village pubs, serving food within a 3 km walk.
