Lovely 5 Bed home swap in Huntly, Scotland

Converted 19th Century mill house in heart of Scottish countryside on the Castle Trail in Aberdeenshire. Situated in a valley with lovely views of the surrounding hills & waterfall & stream which runs through the garden. The garden extends to about an acre & is a mixture of lawn, flower beds & woods stepped into the valley.

Accommodation consists of utility room, kitchen with Aga, dining room, library & sitting room. The mill is on a number of different levels with many stairs & may not be suitable for the very young or old!

Situated in Aberdeenshire, we are about 10km from the market town of Huntly which has a supermarket, park, sports centre, etc. Further away (50km) is the city of Aberdeen, the capital of the region with all the facilities of a city including international airport. Attractions in the area include castles, whisky distilleries, mountains, beautiful coastlines, golfing, fishing, riding, Royal Deeside all within an hour's drive.

The house benefits from being adjacent to a National Trust property, Leith Hall, which has beautiful formal gardens, woodland walks & the house itself which is open to tourists.

We have 4 children aged 11, 13, 20 & 23 & so we have a wide range of children's toys and videos plus bikes for use. We have a dog, cat, some fish plus poultry which would require looking after but we can arrange local help if required. All are child friendly & easy to feed.

We have now had 12 very successful exchanges over the last 9 years in the UK, France, Spain & Canada.
