Traditional stone house - Provence

The house is an old stone house with terracota floor tiles and wooden beams. There are all mod coms. 2 showers. 2 toilets.

The house is well lived in, we have 3 lovely grown up children, all three at university but who come back home during the holidays and dump all their stuff! The house is not spotless and you might come accross the occasional spiderweb. That also means it`s ideal for a holiday not having to worry about furniture or anything. Two cats tend to visit occasionally so we feed them pellets when we see them but they`re too wild to come indoors.

You might want to water a few garden plants and splash your feet to cool down a bit. Watching a video on a lazy afternoon to keep out of the sun is also an easy alternative.

About the location

The house is set in the middle of fields (cereals, sunflowers or chickpeas) on one side and the Sainte Victoire mountain on the other. It`s good to have a car but we also have plenty of bikes (+ 2 electric bikes if you`re feeling lazy or it`s too hot to peddle in the sun) you can use to go and get your morning croissant and baguette. Public transport is very good to go to Aix (25 minutes) or Marseille (40 minutes). Nice (but crowded!) beaches on the Mediterranean sea at Cassis or La Ciotat about 50 mn by car. There`s a good indoor pool with outdoor access 3 miles away. Aix is a beautiful city with its many fountains, narrow streets, good outdoor restaurants.

Ideal if you enjoy the heat and like to have a siesta in the garden under the figtree.
