Morningside flat available for the first week of the Fringe

At the moment we are looking for a swap for the first week of August, which is the first week of the Festival fringe. In the future we would be interested in other locations accessible by public transport, for a week or long weekend (Michael works Tuesday to Thursday). We have family in Roehampton so may be interested in a short break nearby. Although we don`t have children at school we are restricted to the Edinburgh school holidays https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/schools/term-dates/2

Our home is on the 3rd floor of a traditional Victorian tenement. There is one double and one single room (plus sofa bed and bed roll for extra visitors or children). There is a large, well-stocked kitchen diner and a comfortable living room. NB - we don`t have a dishwasher or any cable TV channels.

The flat is not particularly designed with children in mind, but they are welcome to stay. We could provide a second mattress in the single bedroom for a 2-child family.

We have 2 bikes - mine is a hybrid (I`m about 5`5) and Michael`s is a road bike (he`s about 6`). We would be happy to make these available together with ideas for long and short rides.

About the location

Morningside is an attractive district south of the city centre. Waitrose is a few minutes walk away, and there are also lots of independent shops and cafes on Morningside Road.
We are 25 mins walk from George Square and Bristo Square where lots of the Festival Fringe venues are located. It is an ideal location to visit by public transport.

There are all the usual things to do in Edinburgh (galleries, national museum, castle etc.) but you can also access the green spaces around the Braid Hills from the flat, by foot, or on the bus. Glasgow is a 45 min train journey away. You can go to the beach at Portobello, or take a 30min train journey to North Berwick (where you can also visit the Seabird Centre or take a boat trip).
