Nightingales

Large 5 bedroom detached house in a village called Southwater, 10 mins from the historic town of Horsham and all its shops and restaurants. The house is directly opposite a lovely county park with a beautiful lake and walks. The famous Downs Link walk and cycle track are here and, if you feel like it, you could cycle all the way down to the coast on an old railway track, with pubs on route !

Our house has 4 double bedrooms upstairs, the 2 main bedrooms has an ensuite bathrooms and overlooks the country park to the front. The other double bedrooms are of a good size and share a large bathroom, with walk in power shower and underfloor heating (much admired by guests). Downstairs is a large kitchen/diner/conservatory which is the hub of the house, large American fridge with ice and water insiti, dishwasher, double oven, breakfast bar and plenty of space to chill out, whilst eating breakfast, and enjoying the view out to the garden. There is a separate laundry room, with large American washer and dryer. The lounge is 25ft long and is a very relaxing area to listen to music or read, it has a fire and seats 8 people comfortably. We also have a seperate study, which has internet access and full office facilties. The garden at the front and back is large and very pleasant to sit in, there is a patio with tables and chairs. The garage is detached and houses a variety of bikes and garden games. The house has been renovated over the last two years and is spacious and comfortable, we have a housekeeper twice a week, which we would continue to have during the exchange if possible. We are houseproud and would hope to exchange with a family of similiar values.

London is 45mins away by train, and our local train station is 2 miles from the house, you could easily pop up to London for the day to catch a show or see the sights. Brighton on the south coast is 30mins drive and offers all the seaside activities one would expect, as well as some lovely places to eat, and the famous "Lanes" to wander around afterwards. The famous South Downs is on your doorstep, with wonderful walks offered.

Also in easy reach of beautiful Sussex countryside: hiking, cycling, stately homes and gardens, Sussex Downs, watersports. You might want to see: ?The Seven Sisters (gorgeous cousins of the White Cliffs of Dover) and the Cuckmere Haven estuary.
