We are experienced exchangers have been swapping for nearly 20 years! All great experiences! It is the only sort of vacation the children know and they are used to respecting the homes of others.

**Note: exchange can include use of 3 bd seaside cottage in the World Heritage Site, Dorset.

About the location

Cookham village is quintessentially English with thatched cottages and horse riders. It feels rural but is in easy reach of tourists attractions. The Thames River is within walking distance of the house as well as many lovely country walks. If you fancy a short drive and then a walk, you can visit the tiny hamlets of Frieth, Turville (home to the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang windmill), Hambledon (Vicar of Dibley) or the larger towns of Henley-on-Thames (famous for its yearly Regatta) and Oxford.

Cookham was the home of the celebrated artist Stanley Spencer (museum on the High Street) and Kenneth Graham, who wrote Wind in the Willows - the childrens' book and satire of the townsfolk who lived here at that time.

Other destinations that are not far away include:
Heathrow 15 mi (25 min by car), Gatwick 50 mi (1 hr), London 35 to 60 mins, Oxford 40 mins, Cambridge 1.5 hrs, Bath 1.5 hrs, Stonehenge 1.5 hrs., Winchester Cathedral 1.0 hr. Canterbury Cathedral 2 hrs.

We have been contacted by several journalists over the years and have done a couple of radio interviews:
