Home High Above the Forest

Newly renovated in a minimalistic neutral style to reflect and allow the surrounding landscape of the Forest to be the star of the show. Our home is a detached bungalow with front, middle and back gardens to catch the magnificent sunsets over the Forest of Dean with the Welsh Black Mountains forming the backdrop. Being a bungalow, all living space is on the ground floor level making it possible to accommodate families of all ages and abilities.

We will shortly be setting up a circular swimming pool 3.7m x 1m which will be available to use with many inflatables and games [photos to follow shortly]

About the location

Cinderford is the official 'heart of the Forest of Dean' and elevated 220 meters [720ft] above sea level which provides extensive and panoramic views towards the River Severn, Malvern Hills, Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. In fact, three mountains; Sugarloaf, The Skirrid and Waun Fach can been seen directly from our home!
From our home by foot, you can explore many walks, hikes, lakes, fishing, famous mountain bike trails, horse riding, Littledean Jail [as featured on Netflix] and playground, basketball and football court. By car, in less than 5 minutes you can be at the nationally renowned Cannop Cycle Centre and within 10 minutes you can be paddle boarding on the River Wye, playing mini golf, clay shooting, laser tag or outside a beaver enclosure! There are multiple caves, lakes and mines to explore. This is 100% the place to explore nature and the outdoors. There is a local brewery and pub [walkable] and gastropubs and eateries within 10 minutes. Whilst in the area you could easily visit the market towns of Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, Chepstow and Tintern in 20 minutes. Further a field but definitely reachable for a day trip are Cardiff, Chepstow, Cheltenham, Bristol, Hereford [all within 60 minutes by car]. If you are craving the coast, in addition to the two rivers surrounding the Forest [River Severn and River Wye] there are both the Somerset Coast [Brean, Burnham and Weston] and South Welsh Coast great for sandy beaches and surfing both 70 minutes by car.
