Two hours drive to 3 or 4 ski resorts and summer mountain walking. Sunday producers` market in Amou, 10 kilometres East.

On the South flank of the Chalosse, a country district about the size of the New Forest, looking towards the Pyrenees visible 50 miles away. 30 miles from the coast. Although in Landes Departement ( 40 ) which mainly covers the flat pine forested area towards Bordeaux it is adjacent to Pyrenees Atlantiques ( 64 ) and the historic capital of the Bearn, Orthez ( Ortes in Gascon) is 24 kilometres away. Dax is half an hour away and Pau less than an hour. Bayonne and Biarritz a tiny bit more and Bordeaux and Toulouse a couple of hours or more. A quiet village but a supermarket 4 kilometres away. 10m X 5m X 2m pool, table tennis and bikes in the basement. No phone or internet. Car essential.
