Peaceful on the Coast of the Gods

Buongiorno Amici!
Located at the edge of Tropea, we have a 109 square meter apartment, 3rd floor (no elevator but coming soon!)
It is a new-to-us (bought in June, 2019) vacation home which has been "peeled back" to the walls and newly fitted with everything from the paint on the walls to the sheets on the new beds.
All new salon furniture, kitchen cabinets/dining set, 2 double bedroom sets (including dressers, night tables and large armoirs, new bathroom and bedroom linens). The bathroom is outfitted with a tub/shower, sink/vanity, bidet and toilet with a bidet-wash in the seat!
All new appliances including large flat screen television in salon, refrigerator/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, 3 air conditioners (kitchen + each bedroom), dishwasher and several small kitchen appliances. The kitchen is stocked with new, good quality dishes, cookware, eating/serving/cooking utensils.
We have FOUR spacious, furnished balconies: two at each bedroom (one is the location of the clothes drying lines (no tumble dryer), one at the kitchen and one at the salon. From the kitchen balcony there is 180 degree view of the neighboring valley toward Santo Domenica and a full view of Stromboli. You can enjoy the table and chairs for aperitivi or dinner. On the salon balcony you can enjoy 180 degree view of the Tyrrenean Sea. Each balcony has new adjustable awning so you can control the shade and sun.
The apartment is fully stocked for comfortable use. We have a parking lot at our building which is first come basis, but many times we park on the street.
Our home has very good wifi signal.
We are a 20 minute walk from the Tropea train station. You can rent a car in town and they will pick you up; call a cab; or get a rental car at Lamezia and drive in, which is most convenient.

About the location

Within a 5 minute walk you can reach my favorite verdura and macelleria, as well as our favorite Cafe and a very popular Brazilian steakhouse.
Within a 10 minute walk, you will find 2 medium-sized mercados and a large supermarket and bank/ATM.
Also, in 10 minutes walk, you will be at Blanca Beach Lido which marks the south end of the famously popular Tropea spiagge. Once you arrive on the Lungomare, you have a wonderful course to walk and take in the vista mare whilst you decide which lido you want to spend your day. For 15-30 euro, you can have your pick of amenities including a full restaurant on the beach, 2 lounge cots and an umbrella. Some lidi include parking, otherwise there is a pay lot and lots of street side parking, first come basis. There are also free public beaches--- just bring an umbrella and a beach towel!
Every Saturday, there is a huge mercado in the church parking lot which bring at least 100 vendors! Come and see all there is to be had!
In a 20 minute walk (down the main commercial thoroughfare) you will reach the heart of the Tropea Centro Storico.

Every night, the visitors and residents come out for the evening Passeggiare---the young, their parents as well as their grandparents all enjoy this ritual.
In the Centro you`ll find dozens and dozens of restaurants and shops, casual to fancy. You`ll get today`s catch served to you and then go find yourself some freshly made artisanal gelato at one of many gelateria.
Most nights during summer, and especially at Ferragosto, there will be music playing by live artists in any one of several small piazza or on a stage at the newly refurbished Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
Wherever you are in the Tropea Centro, there will be delicious local foods, wine and entertainment.
When you`re ready to recharge for the next day, just take the Tuk-Tuk taxi back to the apartment for a quiet night`s rest in air conditioned comfort.
While you`re here, stop in to one of the many tour operaters and book your group a fun tour. There are several sightseeing opportunities including churches, snorkeling beach grottos, Stromboli, Sicilian day tour and cycling.
