New-built house in East Midlands

Welcome to our home, ideal for a couple or family looking to explore the Midlands.

It is a 3-bedroom detached house built just over a year ago in a small new estate (always very quiet) with a green area and playground area just in front.

The house has:

- a bright kitchen/diner, with a big table and seating for 8. I`m a keen cook/baker so you`ll find any kind of utensils
- a downstairs toilet
- a lounge with two sofa (one is a double sofa bed) and a keyboard
- a master bedroom with a double bed
- a bathroom with bath and shower head
- a kids bedroom with a bunk-bed (the bunk bed has a third pull out bed) with xbox, games and board games
- a single bedroom
- an outside garden area with garden table, electric barbecue and a big trampoline
- fast BT wi-fi (we`ve two PC monitors and a printer if you need to work)
- parking spaces on the side and in front of the house
- there`s a washing machine and an airier but not a drier
- we don`t smoke and don`t have any pets. You`re welcome to smoke in the garden and to bring your non-furry pets (sorry I`m allergic to dogs/cats)

About the location

We live in a town, with rolling countryside all around us. So you can do as much or as little as you like.

Corby is a medium size town that has developed lots in the last decade. The vibrant town centre has a good selection of café, restaurants, take-aways and shops, including Costa, MCDonald`s, Nandos, Prezzo, H&M, Primark and TKMaxx, plus:
- a swimming pool complex (an Olympic size pool, a smaller pool and a fun splash area for younger kids
- the Cube building with a theatre and good size library
- a cinema
- Adrenaline, an indoor skate park (hiring available)
- a lake (with friendly ducks) and gym exercise (we usually park on the lake, walk around and end in the town centre for an ice-cream
- Trapp`d, an escape room complex with various difficulties

The historical town of Market Harborough and Stamford are 15min drive away, with their boutiques and trendy restaurants.

The following big cities/interesting towns are all within reach: Northampton / Nottingham/ Leicester/ Peterborough/ Cambridge/ Stratford-upon-Avon/Rockingham Castle

Corby train station has direct trains to London (1h14min)

Ideas for rural days out:

- Foxton Locks (the longest and steepest staircase locks in the UK)
- East Carlton Countryside Park (lovely views and a magical forest trail)
- Wicksteed Park (park with amusement rides, planned to re-open in May)
- Stanwick Lakes (perfect for a walk or bike ride - hired there)
- Bradgate Park (beautiful rural park with a river and deers)
