There is a laid back and relaxed atmosphere in Deal, probably due to the sea and beautiful countryside being on the doorstep. It is the perfect place to cycle, to nearby towns such as historical Sandwich and many others, passing beautiful countryside on the way. There are fabulous independent shops, cafes and restaurants. On a clear day you can see the outline of France. Dover port and the Euro tunnel are close by should you wish to visit.
