Cambridgeshire, Cosy Cottage

Welcome to our home! Matt and I are a couple in our mid-thirties, and we both work in the tech industry. Our home is a two bedrooms cottage on the edge of Haddenham. The village is within a 10 minutes drive from Ely and 30 minutes from Cambridge. In the house, you will find a cosy living room with a fireplace, a good size and well-equipped kitchen, one bathroom and a double bedroom. The second bedroom is normally used as an office with two desks and monitors to connect the laptop. However, it can be used as a single bedroom if necessary. The place is ideal for one or two adults, but it can also accommodate a third person (or a child) in the single bed. We also allow one well-behaved pet.

About the location

From our cottage, you have a pub, café, a local shop, butcher, bus stop and a craft centre within a 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. From the window, you will be able to enjoy a lovely view of the Cambridgeshire fields and breath-taking sunset. There are also plenty of countryside walks to do. Our favourite walking route starts crossing the road and goes all the way to Sutton, the next village. It is easier to move around by car, but we also have a bus every hour to Ely.

There is plenty to do in the area, including Ely Cathedral, Ely Market, Oliver Cromwell`s House. In Cambridge, you can visit the famous and traditional colleges, the Fitswilliam Museum (free entrance), the Eagle (DNA pub) and more. From Ely you can get to pretty much anywhere by train. The train journey is 20 minutes to Cambridge and 1.5h to London.
