Stunning bay views and gardens - edge of the Lake District

Tucked away and elevated, yet less than 5 minutes walk into our town centre, our home is a modernised bungalow which now features additional upstairs accommodation. We have four double bedrooms.

Downstairs we have a living room with wood burning stove and stunning views of Morecambe Bay. We do not have a TV in this room but we do have a projector which is great for watching films / sport. There is also the additional living room/ bedroom 4, again with bay views. Also downstairs we have three bedrooms, one with a super king size bed, one king and one double. We may ask you not to use the double depending on the sixe as your family as it is our teenage daughters and likes privacy.

Downstairs also features a modern bright dining kitchen with patio doors leading to a large outside decked area. We also have an additional shower room with toilet downstairs.

Upstairs we have another bedroom with a king sized bed and beautiful views over the sands of Morecambe Bay. An additional large landing space offers two additional single beds under the eaves if needed.
The main bathroom is also upstairs, again a generous room with a large bath.

We have private parking that may not be suitable for all cars due to it being sloped but there is on street parking also.

Please note the house is up about 20 steps and graduated slopes so is not suitable for the infirm.

About the location

Grange over Sands is a small town in Cumbria on the edge of the Lake District National Park. It is located on the north side of Morecambe Bay 6.5 miles from Lake Windermere; 13 miles from Kendal and 15 miles to Ulverston and 28 miles to Lancaster.

Liverpool and Manchester can also be reached within around an hour and a half by car. You can reach most places in The Lake District by car in under an hour and there are many lovely walks close by. Grange has good public transport connections (for The Lake District!) - local bus services and a train station with connections to Manchester. Oxenholme station is 25 minutes away and is a mainline station for connections to London/ Scotland.

The town has lovely local shops, great bakers, grocers, butchers and 3 small supermarkets open until 10pm. There is a lovely promenade with childrens play facilities and cafes etc. It`s a great base for exploring the area as it doesn`t get as busy as the nearby `tourist` towns of Windermere and Bowness. There are lots of lovely cafes in Grange and the lovely historic village of Cartmel is 5 minutes away with more eating and drinking opportunities including a 3Star Michelin restaurant L`enclume. Cartmel also has a racecourse and a Medieval priory. You can also be on the M6 motorway in 20 minutes if you want to travel further away.
