A family home with history

Our listed spacious comfortable home is on 3 levels with a large garden and was once part of a substantial family home with a coach house and large grounds. We are located on the high street in the historic conservation area at the heart of the village Linton.

Our open plan kitchen dining room leads to a large lounge (both with multi-fuel stoves), a hallway leads to the utility room and the downstairs toilet. On the first floor, we have an ensuite master bedroom with a double bed, two single rooms and a family bathroom. On the top floor a small office and an ensuite room with double sofa bed

About the location

The beautiful, friendly and thriving village of Linton is 7 miles south of the historic but cosmopolitan city of Cambridge. Linton has 3 excellent pubs (2 of which serve great food), a micro-brewery with pop up food and live music events, two coffee shops, an art gallery, a dentist, a GP surgery, vets, an artisan bakery, an organic veg shop, a florist, a dance studio, two gyms, two garages, a curry house, a newsagent, a library and a Co-op all within easy walking distance. It is a quick drive or a short bus ride into Cambridge (we are two minutes walk from frequent buses into the city)

The village is very near an old Roman road, which is great to cycle or walk along into Cambridge. It passes the historic Wandlebury Hill Fort at Gog Magog Hills. We also live very close to the Icknield Way and the Hercamlow Way - both long-distance walking paths. There are lots of beautiful walking, cycling and trail running routes around.

Cambridge is a small city with a huge amount on offer including tours of historic colleges, punting on the Cam, museums and theatres, etc etc etc. Please google or check out trip advisor for more information.
