About the location

Our house is in the seaside town of Troon on the west coast of Scotland. We are right next to the train station for easy commute to neighbouring towns (Prestwick, Ayr, Irvine) or to Glasgow (37 mins on the train so easy for a day/night out). Troon is 1 stop (5 mins) on the train from Glasgow Prestwick Airport. Edinburgh is 1.5 hrs by car or 2 hrs by train.

Troon is a lovely small town, we have bars/cafes/ restaurants in easy walking distance.
The beach is great at anytime of the year - it’s great for kids and can be buzzy in the summer on the sands and has a great swing park, or at the weekend with people walking.



We have a lovely South west facing garden, a lovely deck with seated area and a trampoline, goal nets, swings etc in the garden for children.

Troon has 7 golf courses (including Royal Troon). 3 courses are within a minutes walk from the house.
