The terraced cottage is in a very quiet, tucked away corner of Inverness yet is only seconds from the majestic River Ness. Turn right at the river and you`re at the start of the beautiful Ness Islands walk, turn left and you`re 5 minutes from the buzz of the city. The cottage itself is fully renovated but also has much charm having been built circa 1850.

There is a small Tesco supermarket on Tomnahurich Street 3 minutes walk from the house.

About the location

Inverness is the gateway to the Highlands and the beautiful west coast and islands. It is a lively place with great night life and a wide selection of good restaurants (see Guidebook).

The Ness Island walk is a calm and beautiful retreat but only minutes from the cottage. Well worth a meander (approximately 40 minutes round trip).

Using Inverness as a base it is possible to see Loch Ness, Isle of Skye, Glenfiddich Distillery, the Orkney Islands (very early start and late return) and still return to your comfortable bed each night.

Our neighbours in the courtyard, John, Angela and Christine are friendly and charming and always willing to offer local advice and recommendations. Feel encouraged to say hello and pass the time of day.
