Congdons Bridge

Our house faces the sea and is about 15 minutes walk from Crackington Haven beach. Built in the late 1960s as a unique open plan house, it is a Cornish upside down house with large open plan living, dining and kitchen area with glass windows on all sides to take in the view. We have 3 double bedrooms including a master bedroom with ensuite and one single room which would take an additional camp bed if required. It sits in 3/4 of an acre of land with a stream and river running through and around the garden.

We have lived in this area of Cornwall for 9 years with kids so are able to point you in the right direction of all attractions and activities.

We do have 2 cats who will remain in the property, one timid old lady and one very friendly boy cat called Seabass.

About the location

Crackington Haven is a fully functioning village with Shop, cafes and pub at the coast. The pub does really good food. “The Haven” (the cover and beach) is one of the prettiest in North Cornwall with striking cliffs and a sandy beach. You can walk to the beach from our house. It doesn’t get crowded as most holiday makers go to the much larger sandy beaches at Widemouth Bay which is 10 minutes drive away. Surfers will be able to enjoy the various surf schools which provide lessons along the coast, kayaking, coasteering etc. Bude is 20 minutes drive away and has more beaches and some good restaurants and is a lovely town on its own right. It has the Cornish cool vibe. Bude has a small cinema as well. There is also “Splash” swimming pool which has fun sessions through the school holidays and a wave machine and flue.

Port Issac where Doc Marten is filmed is along the coast as is Rick Stein’s beloved Padstow. The Eden Project is 50 minutes drive. Camel Creek for the younger kids is 40 minutes drive. Tintagel is the home of King Arthur legend and a magical waterfall.

We can’t guarantee the Cornish weather but there is plenty to do, rain or shine.
