Lovely family home in Bristol

Our house is a newly refurbished and loved family home on a quiet friendly street, 100m from the bustling Gloucester Road and all its eclectic mix of shops, bars and cafes. We are close to the city centre and parks and all that Bristol has to offer.

We have three double bedrooms, upstairs bathroom with bath and shower and an extra downstairs toilet. Downstairs we have a family-friendly kitchen-diner space linking to an open plan family room, and a separate reception room at the front of the house. Our house is a traditional Victorian terrace that is light and open, we have beautiful original stripped pine flooring and lots of Victorian character. Our garden is good size, child friendly and has a lovely decking area (we also have friendly neighbours)

We are right by all that Gloucester Road and Bristol has to offer, and at the same time on a quiet friendly side street.

We have five year old twin boys so our house has a family atmosphere. The house is pretty neat and tidy really and well decorated throughout. We have totally renovated it since we bought it a couple of years ago, so all the utilities are new and our furniture and utensils etc. are all of good quality.

The house would be lovely for another family with children but would also be a great space for a couple looking to enjoy their time in the UK.

Our car (Skoda Octavia estate) is available too as part of our house swap as you might like to travel to the other beautiful parts of the South West England while you’re here.

We both work full time (Charlie is a psychologist and Lucy is a Social Worker) and our intention is to have a complete break for a few weeks and spend time together as a family. The hope is not to do anything spectacular, but just to be together and live in a nice, warm, sunny place for a complete break as a family and experience life in a different county and all the excitement that it will bring. Ideally.

We would like to be near the sea (the boys love being on the beach).

Great places to eat, loads of festivals, good veggie scene, cycling-friendly, excellent buses. The city has everything, and we rarely leave it! There are good connections to London by bus or train and the beautiful city of Bath is only 12 minutes by train! You can quickly be in lovely countryside if you want a change of scenery – you can easily have day trips to the Cotswolds, Brecon Beacons, Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Mendips.
