Our home is a traditional Georgian townhouse, built in 1790, part of a terrace of similar properties. It retains many original features (shutters, panelling, ceilings and the like) but has been modernised to form a comfortable family home. There are three double bedrooms and a separate side room with a pull out double bed. It is set well back from the road and has a good rear garden and sun-trap terrace.
About the location
The house is located in an unspoilt pocket of Georgian properties and is a few minutes walk from the Imperial War Museum, which has a good park and recreational facilities. We are 7 minutes walk from Lambeth North (Zone 1) tube station and close to numerous useful bus routes. Kennington is very well located for the West End of London and the City, as it sits in a bend in the river. We are 15 minutes walk from the Houses of Parliament and the South Bank, and 25 minutes from Covent Garden, Borough Market, Tate Modern and Tate Britain. We hear Big Ben striking from the garden.
