Central London

Our home is a modern, open plan 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment on level 2 of a gated, residential development a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras train stations. The apartment has hardwood floors and a contemporary theme throughout.

The kitchen is equipped with a washer/dryer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer etc.

The living room has a corner sofa and many musical instruments (piano, drums, guitars). There is a balcony off the double doors.

The master bedroom is en-suite.

The second bedroom is large (by London standards), but has a single bed, since it is occupied by our 12 year old daughter. There is a Juliet balcony off the double doors.

Both bathrooms have full length baths and shower.

We have superfast wifi but do not have a TV. The apartment will suit someone who wants to get out and about ( there is so much going on literally as you step out) and explore the city as well as the rest of the UK/Europe due to excellent transport links.

About the location

Restaurants, bars, nightlife, culture, theatre, fashion - name it, this is London! You can easily reach the famous London museums and theatres, by foot, bus, or tube.

The apartment is surrounded by excellent bars, pubs and restaurants, Dishoom, Granger&Co, Vinoteca, The Lighterman (to name a few) are all minutes away. These are some of London`s most popular hang outs.

There is a Waitrose supermarket (this is UK’s most upmarket one) a few mins walk from the apartment, offering a range of facilities (aside from shopping), such as a cookery school, wine bar, juice bar, cafe, outdoor restaurant etc. There are also M&S, Tesco and a Sainsbury (supermarkets) in the area. There are numerous independent shops, cafes, butchers, bakeries etc.

In front of Waitrose you will find Granary Square ( with hundreds of fountains in the middle of it), a hip and happening area with something going on every day: food markets, live music, festivals, exhibitions, classic car shows, educational events, sports screenings (Wimbledon is screened there) etc. London Fashion week also takes place in the Granary Square. It can be a great place for celebrity spotting.

You can see what Granary Square and the general area around the apartment look like/has on offer on the below link

There are numerous music venues nearby such as Kings Place, 02 Academy, Koko, Egg. Also, if you like comedy, there are many comedy clubs.

We are also minutes away from a yoga/pilates studio, several gyms, a cinema and two pools. For tennis enthusiasts there is a club about 15 minutes (walk) away. There are an excellent equestrian centre and a golf course in Trent Park, North London, which can be reached in 20 minutes on the Piccadilly Line.

Angel (a very vibrant and hip area) is 15 minutes (walk) away, with hundreds of trendy bars and restaurants.

The bustling and world famous Camden Market is a 20 minute walk down the Regents Canal from Granary Square.

Kings Cross and St Pancras stations are within easy reach of everything London has to offer: they are major hubs on the Underground with 6 underground lines running through them. They are also well connected to most other cities in the UK and even in Europe by train, you could be in Cambridge in less than an hour, Manchester, Oxford, Brussels or Paris within 2.5 hours.

The stations are almost destinations in their own right, due to the architectural importance and the eating, drinking and shopping opportunities they offer .
For Harry Potter enthusiasts, platform 9 3/4 and the Harry Potter shop, are also in Kings Cross Station.

Also, since Kings Cross and St Pancras are well connected to all the major London airports by underground or train, the apartment is ideal for travel to/from any of these.

A car is absolutely not needed here but there are two short term rental cars parked just seconds from our entrance and you can rent them via an app for use for any length of time, from 1 hour to a couple of days. There is also a car rental [Europecar) just up the road.

Rental city bikes are also available from various locations nearby. Some of them have a drop wherever you like policy, so you could literally just leave the bike at the entrance to the property.
