Barnes village has a handful of small boutiques, as well as a local grocers, delis, a bookshop and some very fine restaurants. With it's village green and pond surrounded by weeping willows it is easy to forgot you are a stones throw from central London. The Thames towpath is a great place to walk or cycle.
