Stone-built cottage - Peak District national park

A lovely stone-built cosy and welcoming end-terrace cottage tucked away behind a historic building, which was said to have once been a jailhouse in Warslow.

This cottage is just perfect for a couple seeking to escape from the hustle and bustle and relax in this beautiful part of the Peak District.

This delightful cottage offers a comfortable bedroom, modern shower room and a kitchen with dining area.

The charming sitting room featuring a stone floor, exposed beams and a woodburning stove, is the perfect place to curl up and relax with a nice glass of what you fancy and a good book.

Outside, the pretty cottage garden is an ideal spot to sit and look out over the splendid views.

About the location

If you are in need of refreshment, just a five minute walk takes you to the local village pub, formerly an 18th century coaching inn.

Warslow is an ideal location for walkers.

At the top of this attractive old village you can admire the views over the glorious Manifold Valley and on the distant hillside looms the rocky, gaping mouth of Thor’s Cave.

For the more energetic, Ecton Hill and its ridge will beckon or take a short stroll on the banks of the River Manifold towards Wetton Mill or Weags Bridge where you may enjoy fossil hunting near to Ecton.

Close by is the very picturesque Hartington and just a little further is the market town of Ashbourne with its cobbled streets, boutique shops, eateries and inns.

You will be spoilt for choice at this romantic retreat, any time of the year.
