La Cave De Lacroix

The house is situated up a track of 500metres. It was a small cottage which has been extended now to inlude a large `glass room` and a tower and a large ground floor bedroom. We have a swimming pool in the grounds which are two acres part of which is wood land. The place works well for families as we are self contained but we have a house nearby. In the summer the weather is generally over 23 degrees rising to 38. But when it is hot parts of the house remain cool.

About the location

There are several small towns within reach. Sarlat, Domme, Souillac and Gourdon. Slightly fourther a field Cahors and the villages along the river Lot. During the summer there are many local fetes attic sales (Vide greneirs) where bargains can be found! We are about 6 kilometres south of the Dordogne which is good for canoeing (children have to be over 5). There are a number of good restaurants around, caves and historical sites.
