Lovely 5 Bed home in Newbury, England

Falmer House is a 5 bedroom family house in Speen Lane, one of the best streets in Newbury. It was built in 1982 of reclaimed old stock brick and has a large south facing garden.

On the ground floor there is a large lounge (18ft square) with a beautiful view. A dining room, kitchen, and utility room and a downstairs toilet.

On the second floor, there are five bedrooms. The master bedroom had a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom. There are 3 more bedrooms each with a single bed. The 5th and smallest bedroom has no bed but could accommodate a cot (we don't have one). There is also a family bathroom and an airing cupboard.

Although the house is very close to the town centre (10 minutes walk) there are views over open fields towards the Kennet river. The Kennet and Avon canal runs parallel to the river Kennet and is very popular with walkers, cyclists and canal boats.

Newbury is surrounded on three sides by chalk hills: The Hampshire Downs to the south, the Marlborough Downs to the west and the Berkshire Downs to the north. All three provide excellent walking.

Newbury is 3/4 hour from Heathrow by car, and about an 1 hour from the centre of London by train. Newbury is an excellent place to be if you want to see the historic towns of Oxford, Winchester, Salisbury, Bristol, Bath and Portsmouth. Stonehenge is about 45 minutes drive.
