Historic Town House

Historical Society documents describe it as `Newly built in 1656 after burning in the Civil War`. Once owned by the Castle, it overlooks the outer walls and its attractive Gardens. A secluded, high-walled courtyard garden with workshop is at the rear. The house structure is an oak frame with carvings of animals and other forms on the frontage. Inside there are chamfered oak beams in every room and an oak staircase to the first and second floors. The sitting room and bedrooms have fitted carpets over wood floors. The kitchen / breakfast room is a modernised extension to the rear and has full-length patio sliding doors into the garden, The garden is on different levels with two seating areas, many planters and a water feature.

Ludlow stands near the borders with Wales (Welsh Marches), Herefordshire and Worcestershire and is between the cathedral cities of Hereford and Shrewsbury.
