Our comfortable and well maintained home is in a safe and desirable North Asheville neighborhood, only minutes away from local shops and close to the hive of activity that is downtown Asheville. Also nearby is Beaver Lake, which has a bird sanctuary and walking paths.

The upper level of the house has a kitchen, sitting/dining room, power room, office, reading room, conservatory and bedroom with ensuite bathroom, whilst on the lower basement level there is a guest suite with bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. Outside at the back of the house, which is surrounded by trees, is a very private deck with a barbecue – a perfect place to sit and enjoy balmy summer evenings.

Described in the New York Times as “an Appalachian Shangri La”, Asheville is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, a part of the United States with great natural beauty. For a relatively small city, Asheville is surprisingly cosmopolitan, with an abundance of live theatre and music, art galleries, antique shops, boutiques, bookstores, street musicians, artist studios, microbreweries – not to mention the lovely Art Deco architecture. In addition, fine dining abounds, with more than 40 superb restaurants catering to every taste from Italian, French, Indian (you name it!) cuisine to traditional Southern US fare (have you ever tried grits?).

Asheville is also a wonderful location for those interested in ‘the great outdoors’. The surrounding mountains offer ample opportunities for hiking, fishing, camping, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, rock climbing - and there are six golf courses within a 20-mile radius of the city. There's plenty to see, do and explore both in and around Asheville, plus many cities of great historical interest are within a day’s drive - for example, Savannah, Charleston, Williamsburg, and even Washington DC.
