Own en-suite room in old farmhouse on a quiet, rural farmstead - Devon

This is a room in our lovely peaceful rural farmstead just 20 minutes drive from the coast, moors and nearby towns and villages. You will need a car here as the drive alone is 1/4 mile to the house.

The beauty of Holwell is its tranquil setting surrounded by farmland and set in a hollow on natural springs. The name Holwell means "spring in the hollow".

You will have Wifi (all be it a bit hit or miss at times), large TV with Freeview, en-suite bathroom with WC, sink basin and bath with shower attachment (handheld), double bed, bed linen and towels provided, central heating, and the use of a guest fridge so you can make your own breakfast and share our kitchen. there is a small table in case you wish to work.

On site we have a yoga studio and holistic therapy treatment centre open Wednesdays and Thursdays subject to advance booking and availability. (Please ask for more information)

We are a non smoking establishment and encourage healthy eating and lifestyle choices.

If you need to get away from the rat race for a few days, unwind, find yourself, explore the North Devon countryside or surf the local beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, then Holwell might just be your answer to prayer.

About the location

We are nestled in a hollow down a 1/4 mile track from the road that runs from Berry Down Cross to Muddiford.

It takes all of 10 minutes to drive to Ilfracombe, 8 minutes to Combe Martin and 20 minutes maximum to get to Woolacombe which boasts an enormous 3 mile sandy beach voted 2 years running as the Best Beach in the UK by TripAdvisor users. Its famous for surfing and safe bathing as its a west facing beach with rolling waves and backed by sand dunes. The lovely old market town of Barnstaple is just a 15 minute drive away where there are shops, supermarkets and great places to eat.

The nearest pub is The Muddiford Arms, not walking distance unless you are up for a hike. Also The Pynne Arms in East Down is a walk from our farm via a public footpath but you need wellies most times.
