Description
Our comfortable home is located in inner Melbourne in Richmond, a cosmopolitan area noted for its shopping and cafes. Iconic attractions such as the MCG are walking distance and tram and train access is minutes away. It also is a perfect base for touring the east coast and Tasmania.
Our home is Federation style with four bedrooms and two living areas with a small leafy courtyard. It is a lovely, friendly neighborhood.
We have just returned from a trip to the US and entered into a non-simultaneous swap with a London-based family with a second home in France. In late March 2010 (to cover some school holidays and Easter) we plan to travel to France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and perhaps London. We hope to arrange to stay at their home in the south of France and to undertake another swap arrangement with another family to cover the six week trip. We are open to offers to negotiate a suitable simultaneous or non-simultaneous swap.
In the longer term we are happy to consider swaps in Australia and NZ after mid 2010.

We are two journalists with no pets and three children (Hannah, Patrick and Lucy) aged 9, 7, and 4. We are travelling to France on April 18 next year and then on to Spain and Portugal. We are staying in the south of France to complete a non-simultaneous swap we undertook earlier this year. We are keen to organise accommodation in Paris. However, longer term we are open to other short term swaps.
Alternatively, we are happy to have someone from Australia stay at our home and we use their home later on in a non-simultaneous swap.
