Barn Cottage - A 200yr old stone barn - picture postcard village

Come and stay in my lovely 18th century converted barn, "Barn Cottage", situated in a beautiful village in the English Shires.

The comfortable spacious accommodation includes kitchen/breakfast area, first floor lounge with beams, vaulted ceiling and open log fire. 2nd floor studio (with futon sofa bed for an additional guest) and outside balcony + small courtyard garden with Bar-B-Q and seating etc. The master bedroom has ensuite facilities and there is a walk in wet room/ W.C. on the ground floor adjacent to the second bedroom - double bed. Third bedroom is now an office with computer and fast housewide wireless broadband internet.

Care of my friendly, well behaved dog - a German shorthaired pointer 10yrs old - may be required but not essential. I understand home exchangers may want to use my home as a base to explore and not want to be tied down to a dogs routine.

I'm located in the quiet village of Elton, 9 miles West of the City of Peterborough and 5 miles from Oundle.

We are 100 miles N of London, 60 from Stanstead airport (lots of cheap flights to Europe) and 45 miles from the historic University town of Cambridge.

There are 2 very good pubs (both with excellent restaurants) a seafood restaurant + local shops/Post Office and a very friendly community.

Local 18hole golf course (2miles) plus 5 others within a 10 mile radius.

CAR EXCHANGE OFFERED - but I would need yours!

The car (diesel 4x4, Landrover Freelander2) that is available will quickly take you comfortably to any corner of the UK, Peterborough being excellently situated for road and rail connections. London 50mins, York 95mins by frequent train service.
