A short walk away is the Westerpark, a great place for a picnic. It also has a newly renovated cultural area that boasts a cinema, cafes and restaurants. Hop on our bikes and explore Amsterdam at your own pace.
Our open-plan apartment would ideally suit a couple. We have digital TV with free-to-air channels, fast internet connection, sophisticated sound system and well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. A sitting area can be converted to twin beds with hotel quality matresses. Our flat is in a very quiet, safe area with friendly neighbours.

We are both training consultants. I am Dutch and my wife is English. We both speak fluent Dutch and English. I specialise in IT and my wife is a TEFL teacher specialising in business English. I love listening to music, cycling and socialising. Alongside teaching, my wife is a published writer and enjoys dancing and horse-riding as hobbies. We are both culture vultures which is why we love Amsterdam so much. We also both enjoy the outdoor life so ideally are looking for a rural location in the UK as an exchange, preferably in the W.Midlands/S. Wales area, near where my wife grew up in Herefordshire. Short city breaks anywhere in the world are also welcome. We are self-employed and so are flexible as regards holiday times. As we have 3 exchanges already arranged in 2009 we are unfortunately not interested in new homeswaps this year. The apartment is however available for weekly rent.
