A 150 year old farmhouse in the beautiful Parc Naturel du Morvan, the green heart of France. Ideal for the relaxed holiday, walking, dining and enjoying le vrai France. Only 3 hours to Paris, half a day to Switzerland and the Black Forest area of southern Germany and a day to Northern Italy. Lots of other activities in the area, from golf to fly fishing to white water rafting and accrobranching. Even cooking lessons with a local chef can be arranged.

We can also offer, at various times in the year a 3 bedroomed house near Portsmouth, UK. 90 minutes from London and great for Jane Austin fans and of course Nelson.

About the location

The Parc Naturel du Morvan is the green heart of France. Rolling hills with forests, babbling brooks, thousands of kilometres of green lanes, good restaurants, friendly locals and away from the rush and tourist "attractions". Yet it is easily accessible, the A6 autoroute is less than 30 kilometres away from the house. The climate is one of cold winters, time to huddle up round the log burner, and hot summers. Spring is a short season but the burst of colour from wild flowers, especially bluebells and the leaves appearing almost overnight on the trees is a joyous time and the colours of the leaves in autumn, usually in October, would match anywhere in the world.
